Most people get paid on a Thursday, that's what's so great about it.

Thursday comes to us from Jove/Jupiter/Zeus/Donar/Thor - God of Thunder and the big kahuna of the God world. Really. Thursday was sacred to Thor.

Thor, god of strength and thunder, defender and help in war and son of Odin is the northern counterpart of Jupiter (or Jove). He's one of the dozen great gods of northern mythology and the only god who can't cross from earth to heaven on the rainbow, because he's such a big dude and so powerful that the gods fear it will break under his weight. Whenever Thor throws his hammer, thunder is heard in the heavens.

The metal tin is associated with the thunderbolt of Jupiter (Zeus in Greek mythology) and is an attribute of Thursday.
