Getting erected

New Zealand has a Prime Minister. We just aren't quite sure who it is yet. Despite reasonably decent weather across the country today, less that 80% of total voters turned out to the polls to mark their piece of paper and make their voice heard.

Must be a lot of deaf/mutes out there, whether by virtue of ignorance, apathy or overall political disenchantment.

New Zealand First pulled only 7 seats in Parliament, with the fall of our own electorate seat of Tauranga, governed for God knows how many years by leader of the New Zealand First party Winston Peters, potentially lost to the National Party wannabe, Testicle Man himself, Bob Clarkson. While Clarkson is only holding this seat tonight with a 500 odd vote majority, there are special votes yet to be counted and should Winston not come out on top, perhaps he can blame himself for attempting to campaign American style and rake muck on his opponent all over the media.

Some people had trouble stomaching both the victim and the methodology.

Poor old Brian Tamaki's Destiny Party managed a whopping 0.6%. He's going to have to up the pace a bit to be running the country in 5 years time like he said he would. I wonder if his regular flock fleecing will rise above a tithe to pay for his political aspirations? What does a cult church call 12.5% tax for gullibility?

We usually call it "G.S.T".

Tonight, Labour holds 50 seats and National 49. Just as long as no one is holding Bob's balls for him. He couldn't find them to front up for a debate saying he's "a doer not a debater", but he's going to need them if he can be bothered going to Wellington to take his place in the debating chamber.

And that's all I have to say 'bout that. Forrest Gump
